Your Learning Experience
Students who have completed the two-year human resources diploma program can continue for a third year to earn an Ontario College Advanced Diploma in business administration human resources. This program is also available part-time, online (asynchronous).
Upon completion, students will have a sound base in analytical skills, professional communication, leadership and dispute resolution. The program has a number of experiential learning opportunities for in-class students (e.g., mentorship, HR Community Consultancy), where students interact with human resources professionals in the field.
Students also have the opportunity to complete all nine Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP)/Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) credits. Refer to the Human Resources Professionals Association website for more information.
Graduates who meet admission requirements are also eligible for transfer to the Honours Bachelor of Commerce (Human Resources Management) degree. You can also be eligible to complete a degree program at many other post-secondary institutions or complement your advanced diploma with a graduate certificate offered at Fanshawe College.

Graduates of Fanshawe's Business Administration – Human Resources program are prepared for a variety of positions within any organization’s HR department, including HR administration, HR assistant, labour relations assistant, compensation clerk, pension and benefits assistant, payroll clerk, recruiter, training and development assistant.

- Health & Safety Specialist
Manage health and safety management systems and programs through the implementation of continuous improvement strategies - HR Administrator

- Contribute to the identification of information needs and apply current and emerging information technologies to support the human resources function.
- Contribute to organizational development* strategies aimed at promoting organizational effectiveness.
- Present and evaluate communication messages and processes related to the human resources function of the organization.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate personal professional development plans to achieve ongoing competence in human resources professional practice.
- Identify and communicate the human resources component of the organization’s business plan.
- Contribute to the collection, analysis, and utilization of human resources data.
