Students in Fanshawe’s Interactive Media Development - 3D Visualization program developed an app that uses augmented reality (AR) to allow visitors to view artifacts displayed by the Museum of Ontario Archaeology. The app scans QR codes, which are placed on signage at the museum.
Holy Roller is one of two Canadian Sherman tanks to survive the Second World War. Over the years, the tank fell into disrepair due to time and exposure to the elements. Fanshawe students disassembled the tank, refurbished the parts and repainted. Students used VR to replicate the feeling of being inside the tank.
Dundas & Sons struggled to find and retain qualified staff, especially during COVID. After a referral to Fanshawe, we helped find suitable candidates for employment, paid for relevant training, and established several funded training placements.
Fanshawe students developed marketing campaigns for Foundation Sixty6, supporting accessible & affordable mental health care to young people.
