Parking
If you are studying at our London South Campus, St. Thomas/Elgin Regional Campus, Simcoe/Norfolk Regional Campus, Woodstock/Oxford Regional Campus or Huron Bruce Regional Sites, you are in luck: students at these campuses enjoy complimentary parking all year long!
If you’re at our London Campus (including Z and Y buildings) or our London Downtown Campus, you’ll want to plan parking ahead of time. Here is what you need to know about parking at these campuses, plus some tips to prevent parking issues from delaying your arrival to class.
London Campus parking tips
- If at all possible, use your bus pass, bike or carshare to campus with friends to help ease the demand on parking
- Allow for extra time (at least an extra half hour, if not more, during the first few weeks of school) until you get a sense of the parking situation
- Plan your preferred parking option and two back-ups in case those locations don’t work - here’s our parking map
- Load your FANCard with some money – it's a quick and easy way to pay at the general lots 5 and 8, and you won’t get additional charges like with your debit or credit cards
- Memorize your license plate, since you’ll need this for the pay-per-entry lots. Turn your license plate into a mnemonic device. For example, WAFA 067 could be We Are Falcon Awesome 067
- Lots 5 and 8 can use VISA, MasterCard, debit, FANCard, Apple Pay or Google Pay
- Pay meters can take VISA or MasterCard in both card and tap format, as well as Debit Tap (but not debit cards – be careful!)
- Some machines in P9, P10 and P14 still accept loonies, toonies and quarters.
London Campus
Complimentary parking on Orientation Day (Tuesday, September 5, 2023) in Lot 5.
Fall term
- General lots: Lots 5 and 8 – $5.25 per entry*
- Visitor meter parking: $3/hour, up to a daily max of $12
- Limited Reserve parking: Lots 6 and 10 – require a parking pass
*"Per entry” means you pay the same flat rate amount every time you enter, no matter how long you plan to stay parked. If you drive out of the lot and return later, you will have to pay to enter the lot again.
