Image Critique of the Upper Extremity - Micro-credential
Image Critique of the Upper Extremity is a microcredential designed to improve the Knowledge, Skills, and Judgement of a working Medical Radiation Technologist. Learners will review images from a PowerPoint presentation to determine corrective measures and to discuss best practices when imaging the upper extremity. Learners can also gain hands on experience in the MRT lab at Fanshawe College. Learning Outcomes: 1. Upon completion of this micro-credential, the MRT will be able to evaluate a variety of images of the upper extremity and make recommendations that will improve diagnostic quality. 2. Upon completion of this micro-credential, the MRT will be able to identify specific bony anatomy used to determine corrective measures. 3. Upon completion of this micro-credential, the MRT will identify how beam divergence, SID, and centering points can affect the proper demonstration of open joint spaces. Total class hours - 4
