Podcasting - Introduction - Micro-credential

This course is designed to introduce students to the art of podcasting. Designed as a foundational course, and one in a series of course offerings, students will explore current podcasting trends, identify the various presentation styles, and source and prepare audio stories in written form. Students will be able to apply course content to their current work or as a podcast entrepreneur. Learning Outcomes: 1. Identify the many styles and approaches to podcasting. 2. Target podcast content to desired audiences. 3. Adapt the art of storytelling to create impactful messaging. 4. Source reliable podcast content from a variety of media platforms. 5. Critically analyze podcasts for their effectiveness. 6. Monetize podcasts for business and promotional development. Total class hours - 10.
