In Ontario, the Ministry of Colleges and Universities surveys recent graduates of Ontario Colleges. This survey asks graduates and, with a graduate's permission, their employer, questions about their college experience and job readiness. The goal is to evaluate college programs, services and student experiences. The survey results are anonymous and the Ministry publishes the aggregated metrics. Fanshawe also shares these Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). All information graduates share is kept confidential.

Why is the survey important to Fanshawe College?

This survey provides us with a realistic view of graduates’ experiences at the College, during their job search, and in the workplace. Your feedback helps us to improve so we can provide a better experience for students and improve the job readiness of our graduates. It is also helpful for students considering whether they should come to Fanshawe for their education.

Why should I answer the survey?

Once you complete your survey, you will receive a $5 e-gift card and you'll be entered into a draw to win a $100 gift card. Additionally, you'll be providing valuable feedback to prospective students and to the college.

When should I look out for my survey?

You'll receive an email, a text, and then a phone call roughly six months after the end of a term. The survey period lasts about eight weeks on average. Unfortunately, there are no hard dates we can provide, but we can let you know that the email address the survey will come from is gradsurvey@forumresearch.com.

What kind of questions does the survey ask?

The survey will ask you about your experience at Fanshawe College to establish your satisfaction with your time at Fanshawe. We'll also ask about your education, career path, and your permission to contact your employer for their perspective. We won’t contact your employer without your consent.

How do I know it's not a scam?

We're letting you know about the graduate outcomes survey in advance so you know when to look out for it. However, it's always important to follow best practices when clicking links and providing information online. To be sure, check that the email comes from gradsurvey@forumresearch.com. The email is sent to students across Ontario colleges so the email does not include the Fanshawe logo. When you click the button, you’ll land on survey.forumresearch.com (plus a string of characters that help the website keep track of survey completions), where you'll see the Government of Ontario logo and the Fanshawe logo.

Your survey answers will be kept anonymous. Your responses help us to improve and we take all your feedback seriously. Thank you for helping the College by completing your Graduate Outcomes Survey.
