Your Learning Experience

The 2-year Civil Engineering Technician program is designed to equip students with the skills, knowledge, and experience to thrive in a growing, fast-paced industry. Students will gain hands-on experience in managing civil engineering projects, from compliance with laws and ethical standards to ensuring sustainable practices are embedded in every phase. You will be ready to work effectively with diverse project teams, communicating clearly with stakeholders and contributing to successful project outcomes. Combined with strong technical skills, you will also learn how to collect, analyze, and present data, as well as use industry-leading technologies to support project execution.

Our program also focuses on the practical aspects of project management—helping students master cost estimation, scheduling, and quality control to ensure your projects meet the highest standards. Students will also apply engineering principles and technical mathematics to design and model civil engineering projects, all while gaining experience in leadership and teamwork.

To enhance your learning and provide valuable industry experience, this program includes a co-op placement. During your co-op, you’ll work with industry professionals on real-world projects, applying the knowledge and skills gained in the classroom to actual civil engineering challenges. The co-op experience is an excellent opportunity to build your network, gain insight into industry practices, and strengthen your resume with practical, hands-on experience.

As a graduate of this program, you’ll be prepared to take on real-world challenges with confidence. You’ll develop the ability to create and apply strategies for ongoing professional growth, ensuring that you stay ahead in a constantly evolving field.

Join us and get ready to make a real impact in the civil engineering field. With our comprehensive training and hands-on approach, you’ll be equipped to lead and innovate in a rewarding and ever-growing industry. Your future starts here.

The program also provides laddering opportunities for graduates into the 3-year Civil Engineering Technology program.

Note: This program is also available for a Winter intake without a co-op. See CIN2 for more details
