Program Overview
The Plumbing Apprentice program teaches apprentices the ins and out of completing crucial plumbing projects. Apprentices will learn not only how to read and interpret drawings and blueprints to build plans and layouts for jobs, but to diagnose and repair problems using knowledge of the Plumbing Code. Those skills will be used to install, maintain and repair pipes, fixtures and fittings that carry water.

From high-rises, new subdivisions, strip malls, renovated downtown buildings and more, highly specialized plumbers are always in demand to make sure all waterways from pipes, toilets, sinks and more are working correctly and efficiently.
Fanshawe’s Plumbing Apprentice is a block release apprenticeship where students combine paid, on-the-job training from skilled tradespeople, with a full-time, on-campus classroom component from experienced skilled trade instructors. The classroom component includes theoretical training that may take anywhere from 8 to 12 weeks. Students will learn how to properly repair and maintain plumbing systems. This combination of short-class instruction and hands-on training will give you the right skills needed to become a successful licensed plumber in commercial and industrial settings. In the Plumbing Apprentice program, your classroom knowledge will be put to work in real plumbing situations, making real cash.

This is an apprenticeship program. You cannot apply to this program through ontariocolleges.ca. Applicants need a sponsor/employer. Your sponsor/employer must register you with:
